Full job description
The quality engineer is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and execution of test automation frameworks, tests, and toolsThese frameworks and automation apply to all aspects of product testing - functional, regression, performance, load, unit, integration, etcThey will contribute to the design and integration of test automation frameworks into a continuous improvement/continuous deployment system.
The quality engineer will work tightly with their team to understand requirements, write and execute test plans, and perform manual testing and black and white box testingThey will also participate in code reviews.
Duties and responsibilities:
Design and execute manual test cases against bug and new feature development.
Design, code, execute and maintain automated testing frameworks.
Design, code and execute automated tests.
Configure and administer automated testing frameworks in ci/cd pipelines.
Automate whole-system environments and deployments in a reproducible manner.
Design and execute smoke/sanity tests for daily releases.
Evaluate automated testing stability and rework tests and frameworks to minimize test fragility.
Convert existing test cases into automated tests.
Design and enhance automated test results reporting.
Conduct troubleshooting, problem triage and root cause analysis of product and test issues.
Perform change analysis and establish appropriate regression tests.
Create a `traceability matrix`, which ensures full traceability between test scripts, results, and client requirements.
Skills required:
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Exposure to software quality concepts like test plans, black and white box testing, and edge cases
Practical experience with back-end automated testing tools.
Familiarity with front-end automated testing tools like selenium, protractor, jasmine.
Familiarity with performance/load testing frameworks like jmeter
Familiarity with scrum & agile sdlc concepts.
Skills desired:
Familiarity with cloud software principles, such as kubernetes/docker containerization.
Exposure to ci common systems such as jenkins, azure pipelines.

Two years of automation experience
Bachelor`s degree in computer science or in `stem` majors (science, technology, engineering and math) or equivalent combination of education and experience
