Work shift: night shift (5:30 pm to 2:30 am ist)

Primary responsibilities
The staff accountant ii will assist with, but not limited to, the following actions:
Prepare and record various journal entries to the general ledger
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations as needed
Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly close responsibilities
Perform monthly/quarterly analysis for assigned rebates
Complete timely payment of rebates when they become due
Maintain relationship with the field through support & communication
Support external audit timelines
Use technology to streamline manual processes
Required skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferably b.com)
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance & accounting domain
Highly proficient in use of microsoft excel (advanced or above advanced expertise)
Good gl accounting experience
Experience with jd edwards, peoplesoft and/or hyperion, preferred
Ability to work independently under high pressure during the month end and quarterly closing
