Yelp studios is looking for an experienced project manager to handle all of the organizational, planning and scheduling aspects of our productions so that the creative and technical members of the group can focus on what they do bestWhile not required, it would be a big plus if you have some production skills beyond simply being the most organized individual on the planet so that, if necessary, you can sit behind a camera or help set up lighting on a shoot.
We’re a growing team of scrappy, creative video geeks fighting the good fight against mundane corporate videoOur productions range from live-action testimonials, web ads and video blogs to animated tutorials, product launch announcements and social media shorts.
Where you come in:
Manage production pipeline for all existing and future projects
Work with the rest of the studios team to schedule realistic project deliverables and review cycles, constantly keeping current workload in mind
Set and keep milestones for each production from kick-off through final delivery
Ensure each project’s responsibilities within the studios team are understood and met
Communicate project budgets, milestones, approval cycles and deliverables with internal clients so that there are no surprises
Work with yelp’s legal team for approval on concept and final deliverables
Build strong working relationships with internal requesters to get a jump on new requests
Assist execProducer with virtual location scouting and casting
Assist editors and animators in gathering assets from yelp’s creative team
What it takes to succeed:
Minimum of 3 years of corporate, agency or studio experience in a video-specific project management role
Impeccable organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Solid grasp of video production terminology, best practices and workflow from start to finish
Ability to manage production schedules for multiple projects on an ongoing basis
