Key responsibilities & focal points
Guide the strategic direction of the digital marketing services function, ensuring operational efficiency is aligned with internal and client goals, while providing mentorship & support to digital marketing team members, providing guidance, training and setting expectations against which their personal progress and development can be measured.
Proactively identify potential points of failure, from both a client and operational perspective, working with team members to improve people, process, and system performance in achieving both customer and business success.
Carry out account planning, managing client / project budgets with consideration to cos, ensuring timely financial management by digital teams, overseeing client reporting and feedback cycles.
Act as a point of escalation and guidance on the allocated digital marketing account-set, and continually search for opportunities to reinforce wordbank’s value proposition and capabilities while driving customer satisfaction and success.
Leverage best practices in strategizing and executing efforts across all digital tactics to align performance with client goals, achieve roi and solve real business problems.
Drive the consultative dialogue with digital marketing clients via a deep understanding of clients’ needs and how those align with wordbank’s capabilities and the localization roadmap.
Ability to support execution across paid and organic digital tactics in-platform as needed.
Conduct technical and on-page domestic and(or) international seo audits, leveraging tools like semrush, screaming frog, google search console, and google analytics.
Assist in keyword research to inform seo-driven blog pitch recommendations on a monthly basis, including trending topics, content rewrite and(or) consolidation opportunities, and new blog content development.
Work with copywriters to action approved recommendations from blog pitches, such as refreshing existing blogs, drafting new blogs from-scratch, and optimizing posts according to on-page seo best practices.
Analyze data on a weekly and monthly basis, and speak to organic performance in an authentic and engaging way through shared reporting dashboards.
Brief in-country resources on digital localization project goals and deliverables, such as international seo keyword research and mapping, concurrent optimization and localization of landing page content and metadata.
Develop youtube seo strategy, from keyword research to on-page video optimizations.
Maintain ‘larger picture’ thinking to ensure that client’s business goals are always top of mind, and brainstorm creative optimization strategies for driving continual organic improvement.
Willingness to implement and maintain current knowledge of digital platform updates and industry best practices.
Experience & skills

5+ years of demonstrable experience in planning and managing cross-tactic marketing programs, and associated internal and external resourcesDeveloping and executing on seo and paid digital strategies to achieve clients’ business goalsA self-confident, highly collaborative team player with a deep understanding of digital marketing, seo, and a variety of b2b and b2c business tactics.
Experience in articulating strategic and tactical marketing services (specifically digital content and services) an understanding of how to read performance data and share insights in a way that creates a compelling storyProactive and intuitive to both client and internal team temperaments and anticipating needs or problemsActively pursue improvements of business processes, delivery, and communicationSomeone who loves uncovering interesting tidbits and creating effective strategies utilizing performance data to solve problems.
Proven ability to coordinate, liaise and collaborate with a number of internal stakeholders and freelancersAwareness, experience, and an interest in other languages and culturesA naturally curious marketer, excited by challenges.
Sound knowledge of industry workflow management and reporting toolsOrganized, an excellent communicator, team player, and able to remain agile and productive with changing priorities.
