Regional account manager

The regional account manager, reporting to a sales director, will be responsible for driving sales growth in the atlantic region assigned by the companyThis is a collaborative effort with domestic distributors, meant to establish trusted relationships and meet or exceed strategic goalsThe position will be the lead point of contact for customers in the assigned region and support the marketing team in addressing questions/concerns in the field.
This position is ideally based out of raleigh, north carolina or other major area within the atlantic region
Position expectations
Establish and successfully complete customer visits, to meet or exceed product and sales growth, with support from the supervisor, as needed.
Strive to develop trust and establish strong relationships with domestic distributor representatives within your assigned region.
Keep up to date on all willowwood product offerings to effectively provide product demonstrations, train distributors, and offer general support.
Utilize sales tracings data, and pipeline reports to identify opportunities for growth and accounts that may require attention in regional territory.
Record all customer visits and pertinent correspondence in crm.
Perform administrative duties as requiredThis will include making travel arrangements, keeping calendar up to date, completing expense reports and inputting pertinent information into crm and keeping pipeline report up to date.
Travel up to an average of 80%
Travel is subject to state and local guidelines for covid-19
Essential responsibilities of the job:
External responsibilities
Establish a trusted advisor relationship with prosthetic facilities.
Schedule and meet with prosthetic facilities to educate personnel on willowwood product line and service offerings positioning them appropriately to drive sales.
Determine customer pain points and propose solutions that may fulfill their needs.
Follow-up on customer/distributor rep requests and assist in resolving customer complaints.
Obtain a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements.
Travel, or coordinate regular communication with distributor sales personnel in assigned region to educate them on willowwood product /service offerings and develop sales strategies to meet or exceed goals.
Develop trusted relationship to serve as their key point of contact within willowwood.
Attend state, regional and national trade shows representing company and in support of distributorsThis could include set-up and tear down of booth.
Conduct product training and education workshops
During trade shows
Directly with distributors
Via webex
Assist in rollout and training of new product introductions and all willowwood services.
Serve as the link of communication between customers and internal staff offering suggestions that may help the success of a product or the marketing of a product.
Utilize appropriate social media channels to build a network of contacts and to provide product information.
Internal responsibilities
Provide assistance to internal team in resolving customer concerns/questions.
Support education team with workshops at customer sites in assigned region.
Conduct webex training sessions on willowwood products and services.
Maintain follow up records in crm from customer and distributor visits/correspondence within two weeks after visit.
Submit expense reports within two weeks after return of trip.
Provide quarterly and annual reports to supervisor outlining competition updates learned from sales visits.
Assist in creating annual sales budget and work within expense budget.
Essential skills needed for the job:
This position requires a highly motivated individual with a solid technical foundation and a proven track record of success in building solid, productive customer relations.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities include:
Minimum of 2-5 years marketing and/or sales experience.
Practical knowledge and experience in marketing, finance, budgeting and p&l activities.
Degree in business, marketing, finance or other related fieldExperience may be substituted for education at a standard rate of 2:1
Effective product presentation skills, capabilities and experience.
Strong computer skills/experience with microsoft products - powerpoint, excel, word, etc.
Ability to travel, including overnight, weekend and international as needed.
Strong organizational and time management skills as illustrated by proven experience in establishing own goals, work activities and schedule.
Ability to collaborate and contribute within a group.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
A working knowledge of social media platforms and an understanding of using social marketing to drive sales and build professional relationships.
Success in inside and outside sales strategies a plus
Experience with clinical patient interaction
