About the role
Our information and cyber security team is looking for software engineering manager (vice president) to join our ics teamThis position will manage and provide functional and administrative leadership to the application development teamThe manager will functionally lead a team of 10-12 application & sql database developers and will be hands on with day-to-day operational delivery & supportThis position demands high degree of partnership with us leadership and scrum teams.
The position will be responsible to:
Develop team charter and scope for projects, and managing/supervising resource allocations, & workload balancing across a group/team of up to ~10-12 people.
Review all daily activities and ensure completion of tasks & duties for each team and proper handover.
Develops security solutions for business intelligence reporting related to areas of application systems, key public infrastructures, authentication, and directory services.
Hands on working experience in the areas of application development, database development/support and bi reporting using various tools (tableau/ssrs/splunk etc).
Experience in project management, documenting process and requirements and translating into solution building, metrics & dashboards.
Strong stakeholder management & leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
People manager expertise including performance reviews and compensation planning & discussion
Proactive & creative development of engineering practices and automation/tools to enhance team productivity.
Recruit, build, mentor and sustain a high-performance team.
Perform delivery management functions in an on-shore off-shore model, collaborating with us technology managers and key business proponents to identify and execute appropriate projects.
Bachelor of engineering degree or equivalent with overall 12+ years` of working experience with design, development, and execution of databases, information systems and software applications.
Proficient with tsql and sql server 2008 - 2016 with experience ranging from architecture to design and maintenance.
Experience with .net core and .net framework, asp.net mvc & angular
Able to lead development team and good experience in software development lifecycle (sdlc) and application lifecycle management (alm) with agile principles and methodologies.
Knowledge of application security coding practices, security scanning requirements, vulnerability management and systems integrity
Experience in leading & managing individual team members performance reviews and development planning and hiring.
Excellent communication, problem solving ability and critical thinking skills
Ability to interact effectively with different teams and senior level management.
Experience working with banking & financial services industry will be added advantage.
Experience in creating visuals, building dashboards and customizations to meet the needs of the end-users
Knowledgeable with business intelligence tools (ssis, ssrs, and tableau)
Appropriate and active itil, cobit certifications.
Advanced microsoft office software, hardware, operating system knowledge.
Experience working in a large enterprise environment
