In this role, you will:
Establish, implement and maintain risk standards and programs to drive compliance with federal, state, agency, legal and regulatory and corporate policy requirements
Oversee the front line`s execution and challenges appropriately on compliance related decisions

Provide subject matter expertise with comprehensive knowledge of business and functional area
Provide compliance risk expertise and consulting for projects and initiatives with moderate risk for a business line or functional area
Monitor reporting, escalation, and timely remediation of issues, deficiencies or regulatory matters regarding compliance risk management
Provide direction to the business on developing corrective action plans and effectively managing regulatory change

The compliance team is responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining risk standards and programs to drive compliance with federal, state, agency, legal and regulatory and/or corporate policy requirementsAs part of the independent risk management function, compliance oversees the front line`s execution and challenges appropriately on compliance related decisionsGlobal delivery activities (gda) compliance is a part of compliance organization and is accountable for providing independent risk management oversight for all global delivery related risk in india & philippines (i&p).
About the role : the function of this role is to provide a comprehensive and a holistic oversight/view of geographic risk while reporting the aggregated risk for i&p to operations leadership and applicable business/enterprise function leadershipCompliance officer will serve as a extension to business aligned compliance officers (baco`s) and provide oversight and governance support by engaging with the india & philippines business owners & the control teams
Responsibilities
Drive integration with compliance teams aligned to lobs to ensure adherence to line of business and enterprise standards and review any material service changes relating to the compliance requirements for the work that wfip and various in- region third parties executes on behalf of the business
Support compliance reviews of proposed delivery activities supported by i&p; this will include review of legal review and global delivery risk reviews
Implement integrated compliance risk oversight to actively discuss compliance risks and as required create reporting, escalation and various governance routines with lob and compliance teams aligned to enterprise control functions.
Quarterly aggregate reporting to various key stakeholders (international/regional head of compliance, regional risk officers and ip leadership
Supports initiatives and enterprise wide projects for the risk group, tracking of project deliverables and tasks with a high degree of understanding of highly complex processes and systems and their interdependencies, and regulatory and internal control requirements
Conducting deep dives into specific areas of focus based on risk and regulatory priorities
Conduct an ongoing operational review of the risk policies and practices, including the continuous identification and implementation of process and system improvements.
Consistently communicate the risk vision and objectives to the risk groups and provide direction and leadership as needed
Role expectations
Ablility to execute large complex initiatives in a large corporate environment, while effectively partnering with others
Overall experience of 10+ years with 8 years of relevant experience in financial services industry and / or risk & control domains covering operational risk, controls testing / evaluation, compliance, internal audit, risk management etc.
Ability to credibly challenge, conduct tough conversations and effectively communicate with various levels of management, including senior leaders and executives.
Highly developed interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with both the line of business and technical team members
Creative and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to analyze business issues and identify key risks/mitigating controls, combined with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills and stakeholder management.
Demonstrate positive attitude and readiness to work in a challenging and dynamic environment.
Flexibility to multi task and work across domains and business groups.
Desired qualifications
Bachelor`s degree in corporate laws/ legal/ regulatory affairs/aca/acs or equivalentRelevant risk and regulatory certifications will be an advantage
Experience in us banking regulations will be an advantage.
General knowledge of industry standards and best practices around regulatory compliance, control evaluations / testing, internal audit and risk management processes.
