About global commercial payments platform
We are working on multiple technology stacks and want to add a highly motivated engineer to our commercial payments organization in foster city, caVisa`s commercial payments organization is responsible for managing visa`s b2b payment global adoption on cross-border funds movement, innovation agenda and the management of strategic partnerships with critical financial institutionsThis group is responsible for defining and building the non-card based payment innovation and product for visa incGloballyThis includes:
Distributed-ledger based cross border payment platform
Near time settlement
Enterprise id stamping to create a digital identity for corporate entities
Hyperledger chain-code development
End-to-end payment eco-system

Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to provide customers with the best payment experience.
Collaborate across teams to drive issues to completion and continuously improve the application.
Look ahead, analyze issues and application metrics to identify improvements within monitoring, automation, and processing.

2 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree (e.gMasters, mba, jd, md, or phd)
4 or more years of work experience or more than 2 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.gMasters, mba, jd, md)
2+ years of experience with distributed software operations management
Hands-on experience with all aspects: data, server-side, ui, and open-source software.
Experience with linux, open source, c++ or java, client-server apps
Expertise in at least one of the following programming languages: java / go / scala / python,
Familiar with container strategies and ecosystems such as docker, kubernetes
Knowledge of cloud architecture and scalable solutions including orchestration
Experience working with java web applications and associated technology stack (unix, tomcat, java, spring boot, mysql)
Experience with back-end batch job processing
Experience building various application monitors
Experience with active-active application architecture
Monitor platform operations to ensure 24/7 up-time and resolve service impact
Utilize monitoring to proactively catch and resolve issues before users are impacted
Liaison between users, product, and development teams to troubleshoot and resolve application issues
Analyze issues to identify permanent fixes and areas for automation
Perform change management to support necessary infrastructure, security, and software upgrades
Knowledge of production support and incident escalation through ticketing systems
Maintain security compliance and ensure all security findings are brought to closure
Collaborate with operations and infrastructure, database engineers, cybersecurity and middleware engineers to remediate security vulnerabilities.
N.b: this job focuses on operations and platform management, which needs 24/7 availability during on-call support window.
