Validic enables organizations – across industries – to harness the potential of personal health dataOur mission is to improve the quality of human life by building technology that makes personal data actionableWe’re seeking a vice president, marketing to serve as the strategic leader for the company’s brand, public relations, and commercial marketing efforts to drive overall growth of the companyThis role plans, oversees, and participates in the development of brand identity, campaigns, assets, and events to bolster the company’s market position and market share and will be responsible for helping the company develop and implement clear, consistent messaging across markets and channels, especially for health plans.
What you’ll do at validic
Branding and positioning
Establish a clear voice of validic and drive the evolution of the company’s brand positioning and messaging to resonate with key buyers, especially in the health plan market
Build an internal and client culture of brand enthusiasts through the creation of standards, guidelines, and expectations
Create a best-in-class arsenal of persona-specific sales enablement materials
Oversee digital marketing programs, including, but not limited to, social media, website, blog, advertising, email marketing, videos, and other digital marketing channels
Create experiential and engaging in-person and virtual events
Build the client journey map and implement the reports and tools needed to continuously drive improvements
Integrate best-in-class account-based marketing programs and technology to effectively generate new opportunities with target accounts and contacts
Forecast and build programming to generate top-of-funnel leads needed to support pipeline, bookings, and revenue goals
Develop a rigorous measurement framework to assess the effectiveness and return on marketing investments
In partnership with the product and commercial teams, lead the creation of persona-driven sales enablement materials, as well as the ongoing data-driven refinement of those materials and approach
Maintain high-quality competitive intelligence and market intelligence and ensure the validic team is well-informed and well-equipped to compete in this rapidly-evolving market
Collaborate with the client success team to develop case studies and stories that highlight roi and best practices
Public relations and regulatory affairs
Oversee the creation of press releases and media campaigns
Build thought leadership platforms and content strategies for the company and its thought leaders
Leverage and maintain key relationships with strategic industry groups, analysts, and media
Stay current on new and proposed legislation and rulemaking from governmental bodies that directly affects the business or its clients
Coordinate and retain strategic consultants that help guide the company’s participation in public comments related to legislation and guidance

Design, plan, and execute effective internal communication campaigns to keep validic employees up-to-date on the latest products, positioning, and messaging

What you`ll bring to validic
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration , or related field
10+ years of senior marketing experience building brands, teams, and marketing strategies
Prior experience in the health insurance plan market is strongly preferred
Previous experience working in a start-up or similar environment is preferred
Proven ability to execute a brand and marketing strategy in a fiscally responsible way with a strong measurement framework and kpis to assess return on marketing investment
Demonstrated success in growing demand generation and improving lead-to-revenue conversion
Extensive understanding of tools, tactics, and channels to help grow b2b and b2b2c marketing strategies and brand awareness
Excellent project management skills, high attention to detail, and works well in fast-paced environment

The fine print
Location: durham, nc office or remote us based- our core hours are 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.mEastern time.
Reports to: chief operating officer
Physical requirements: prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer in a variety of environments with multiple distractionsMust be able to travel 20% or more.
