Job title: tech solution design manager location: bangalore overview: unilever is going through a major transformation journeyThe ambition is to become a data intelligent companyTo increase its data capabilities, we are looking for an experienced technical solution design manager that will help enabling our strategy through the design of robust, reliable, performing and cost effective technical solutionsJob description the ideal candidate will have: technical skills
Experience with technical solution design, in particular in the cloud and within microsoft azure
Minimum of 10 to 12+ years overall it industry experience with minimum 3+ years of solution design experience over azure cloud
Understand of overall it system design, in particular networking, authorization and authentication protocols, data security, disaster recovery
Strong experience and knowledge of data and analytics concepts, with particular focus on data warehouses, data management, data modelling, data lakes and big data concepts
Knowledge of data modelling and in particular performance driven data modelling and architecture
Understanding and appreciation of cloud infrastructure cost drivers and ability to manage and optimise infrastructure costs
Knowledge at admin level of big data infrastructure, in particular spark and strong ability to troubleshoot performance cost issues
Understanding and hands on experience on powerbi dataset analysis services model creation and management; knowledge of dax and powerbi dataflow a big plus.
A deep understanding of etlelt tools and techniques
Knowledge and hands on experience of microsoft azure tools for data engineering (including azure data factory, logic apps, azure data bricks, azure functions, integration runtimes)
Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls
Knowledge of data science, machine learning and ai tools, techniques and methodologies is a big plus.
Knowledge of the latest technologies to process large amount of data (apache spark; databricks is a plus)
Worked with complex and large datasets and has an appreciation of challenges that come with scale
Cicd pipelines and code management knowledge, familiarity with tools like github and azure devops
Experience with streaming, real time and fast data and technologies like kafka confluent is a plus

A great team player, with the ability to perfectly integrate and play a pivotal role in a team that includes also data scientists, data engineers and data analysts
Able to appreciate short term vs long term goals and take both tactical and strategic decisions
Aware of the organization can move within it with agility and can influence decision makers in other areas
Great communication skills, ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
High organizational skills, the ideal candidate has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
Able to make decision quickly and explain
Able to and willing to continuously learnAchievement of technical certifications (azure, databricks) and interaction with software vendors product groups is an integral part of the role
