Unified women`s healthcare is seeking a manager, systems engineering to help execute and support the company’s hybrid cloud and customer support strategies.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
The manager, systems engineering supervises a team of highly skilled engineers & systems administrators and reports to the vice president, it infrastructureThe manager is responsible for the design, and operation of unified’s technology infrastructure, both cloud and on-premises, which includes servers, storage, and associated infrastructure systemsThis is both a strategic and hands-on technical role, working with other leaders of the information technology team.
This person will:
Lead a team of system engineers
Manage end-to-end production critical services while building automation processes
Lead by example, establishing teams quality standards and executions
Collaborate with team and colleagues in capacity planning, demand forecasting, and anticipation of performance bottlenecks
Collaborate with information security to address unified`s compliance and security requirements
Manage environments in a to ensure optimal security, performance, scalability, availability, and operations.
Participate in unified`s incident response plan, disaster recovery plan, and business continuity plans.
Create and maintain cloud governance
Enhance cloud infrastructure automation
Initiate new cloud solutions by documenting the project and the cost impact
Work with the appropriate teams to respond to incidents and to take charge when needed.
Develop and deploy real-time production monitoring and telemetry
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or the related field.
Seven (7) years of it experience with demonstrated in-depth knowledge of it, strategic and process planning.
Five (5+) years of people and project management experience or the equivalent experience.
Must have expert knowledge of office 365
Understanding of security protocols and procedures (network firewalls, email filtering and spam protection, password protection, principle of least privilege)
Knowledge and experience troubleshooting windows 7/10 pro and windows server 2012/2016/2019
Knowledge and experience troubleshooting virtualization environments (hyper-v, esx) and storage solutions
Experience with windows active directory (user management, gpo management, domain hierarchy)
Experience troubleshooting software, hardware and networking issues with desktops, laptops, servers, switches, routers and access points
Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment (coordinate phone calls, client contact, remote sessions and issue resolution)
Excellent technical, analytical and critical thinking abilities to solve problems in an evolving it landscape
Collaborate in team environment to resolve issues in a timely manner as a commitment to our clients’ priorities
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to be able to effectively communicate with vendors and clients
Soc2, hipaa or related experience a huge plus
On-call support may be required to meet business demand
