You will serve as a supervisory epidemiologist in the department head preventive medicine at navy medicine readiness and training command of nmrtc san diego ca.
You will serve as a staff mastery expert knowledge of biostatics and epidemiology.
You will use knowledge of the strategic and tactics to promote programsDevelopment of marketing materials or activities
You will apply regulations, laws, and agency directives.
You will develop and conduct epidemiologic studies in support of department of the navy preventive medicine, environment health, and public health protection programs.
You will assesses and utilize epidemiologic database important to the work of navy medicine readiness and training command and customers.
You will prepare draft instructions and manuals for the guidance of nmrtc san diego personnel.
You will develop performance standards and evaluate performance of subordinates.

In addition to the basic requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the gs-11 grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sectorSpecialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience coordinating and facilitate cross-functional teams of professional and support personnel in conducting routine and non-routine epidemiological evaluations.
Experience utilizing epidemiologic concepts, principles, methods, tools for developing, scheduling coordination, monitoring, evaluating, practices that enable the employee to serve as a technical authority.
Experience providing expert advice and direction for a broad range of preventive medicine matters; managing projects and resources, including technical performance.
Experience using computerized database/or software application, such as word processing, spreadsheets, and familiarity with statistical programs such as statistical analysis system (sas) and ibm statistical package for social science (spss).
Experience reviewing fiscal policies, material management, inventory control, budget execution, and general supply maintenance procedures.
Experience overseeing train preventive medicine and environmental health personnel, management, supervisors, and employees.
