You will be expected to practice in the areas civilian personnel law, acquisition law; fiscal law, and ethics.
You will also practice in areas freedom of information/privacy act, ethics/standards of conduct, and litigation related to these areas.
You will be expected to supervise attorneys practicing predominantly in acquisition law as well as other office of the general counsel (ogc) practice areas including civilian law; fiscal law, and ethics
You will be called upon to perform and manage the resolution of issues in the full range of ogc practice areas including the freedom of information act, environmental law, intellectual property law and the review of non-far based agreements.
Occasional travel - you may be expected to travel for this position.

To be selected for the position, applicants must have at least five and a half years of relevant legal experience in one or more of these practice areas: acquisition law; fiscal law, and ethicsApplicants will be evaluated on: 1) the extent of their professional legal experience in civilian personnel and acquisition law, with an emphasis on acquisition law2) the ability to lead and manage attorneys and administrative support personnel; 3) research, analytical, and writing skills; and 4)oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish relationships, to work effectively with senior military and civilian clients, and to work as part of a teamFamiliarity with the department of the navy and don ogc is not required, but is desirableApplicants with a record of making significant contributions to the advancement of the don ogc or equivalent office of the general counsel or law firm/office beyond the day to day legal practice are desired.
