This position is located in the department of commerce, national telecommunications, and information administration (ntia), boulder, coloradoThe primary purpose of this position is to conduct technical administrative assistance duties involving projects for one or more divisions, including fiscal, procurement, personnel, time/attendance, travel, and editorial tasks.

Provide administrative support to supervisors, managers or other employees on day-to-day operations and overall office management; and carry-out routine administrative assignments requiring the application of clear and well-established methods, practices, and techniques, under supervisory instructions, objectives, limitations, priorities, and deadlines.
Collect, verify, compile, and summarize data or information, processes or routine actions; assist higher level specialists in more complex activities; and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Assist with the procurement of supplies, equipment, or services; develop travel plans and reimbursements; ensure the accuracy of time/attendance reports, property management and inventory, track financial data; and conduct records management activities, such as setting-up/maintaining files/records to ensure their context and availability for use by others.
Review and prepare communications, and set-up/coordinate meetings and events.
Prepare organization-wide announcements, and communicate information or recommendations with service providers, technical staff, management, and outside organizations.
Provide administrative support to a primary division as a member of an administrative team; work collaboratively with teams to set and meet consistent standards of performance, and provide back-up support to other team members.
Occasional travel - you may be expected to travel for this position.

Specialized experience: zs-4 (gs-07/08 equivalent): you qualify for the zs-0303-04 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the zs-03 (or gs-6) grade level in the federal service or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties:
