Installs, configures, and maintains multiple microsoft sql server databases and associated management systems software.
Maintains, monitors, performance tunes, and provides backup and recovery support for microsoft sql server databases.
Analyzes and plans for anticipated changes in data capacity and performance requirements.
Ensures application of information security/information assurance (iava) policies, principles, and practices.
Provides technical support and guidance for other information technology specialists in support of major automated information systems.
Occasional travel - you may be expected to travel for this position.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement, qualified applicants must possess: one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (gs-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
