You will develop, present, and defend complex life cycle cost models utilizing a wide variety of cost estimating and analysis functions.
You will advise program offices of department of navy (don) and (dod) acquisition policy and regulations related to cost estimating and analysis.
You will perform earned value management (evm) analysis by reviewing and analyzing cost performance reports (cprs), calculating common evm metrics.
You will develop and defend cost estimates of complex software development efforts for information technology systems and subsystems for east coast acquisition programs in peo digital and enterprise services, and/or (mlb).
Occasional travel - you may be expected to travel for this position.

Basic education qualifications for 1515:
Applicant must have a bachelor`s or higher degree in operations research
Have successfully completed a bachelor`s or higher degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics and at least 3 of the 24 semester hours are in calculus.
This position will support navwar`s east coast programsIf the selectee is on the west coast, he or she will support those programs remotely with periodic travel for in-person meetings required.
If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which has a base pay of $93,907 - $112,687 plus 29.77% locality adjustment for san diego, ca and 30.48% locality adjustment for washington, dc).
The pay schedule and pay band for all demonstration project professional positions will be dp-1/2/3/4
This position is in the personnel demonstration project under authority of title vii of the civil service reform act of 1978.
This position is covered by the department of defense priority placement program.
