Role summary: as a business analyst at u.group, you will be able to interface with a wide variety of departments and work on both large cross-functional projects and small system improvementsYou will facilitate business process improvement by following user-centered and agile methods on projects in the public, private, and non-profit industry by working on cross-functional design and development teamsThe results of your work will directly impact and improve the business of our customers and quality of life of their customers or users.
Objective #1: create, maintain, and communicate user stories, business requirements documents, business analysis plans, and traceability matrixes contribute to the successful delivery of a project team.
Conduct analysis and determine customer operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.
Perform analysis on the feasibility of, and development requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems while ensuring the overall system design fits the needs of the customer and end-users.
Support a product’s vision and direction through comprehensive functional and technical analysis.
Define and improve customer systems by exploring current practices and designing modifications in a user-centered and agile method.
Provide recommendations for improvements by actively identifying problems and communicating potential risks and solutions to the customer and project team.
Assist with monitoring overall project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, creating progress reports, and recommendations.
Maintain the protocols of the customer’s system by writing and updating procedures to inform the design and development of the overall system.
Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; provides help desk support and training for users.
Objective #2: foster strong relationships with internal and customer stakeholders, user experience designers, developers, and project management to effectively lead and participate collaborative working sessions.
Facilitate or participate in collaborative working sessions with your peers and customer stakeholders.
Contribute to overall team effort by working with fellow project team members in the completion of tasks.
Participant in design reviews and technical demos to provide critique and feedback on the quality and performance of teamwork products.
Objective #3: perform discovery and analysis to improve and introduce new processes within the business analysis team at u.group.
Collaborate with fellow business analysts to mature and refine u.group’s product development approach providing mentoring and guidance to fellow business analysts as they progress in their professional development plan.
Determine how core methods and processes should be matured to enhance the ability for u.group to successfully deliver projects to its customers.
