In this unique role, you will be able to demonstrate your skills in outbound sales and closing dealsThis is an opportunity to gain experience in sales, customer service, and relationship building in a fast-paced, growing environmentWe are looking for someone who is a natural at selling; is passionate about relationships, technology, and the transportation industry; and enjoys working with both internal and external customers.
Your primary responsibility will be selling our latest managed transportation offerings to professionals in supply chain and logistics managementYou will use your strong communication skills to email, cold call, nurture and close deals to help grow the business.
Essential tasks and functions

Plan and prioritize sales activities and prospect contact towards achieving business revenue goals for the transportation management business unit within transplace
Provide weekly reports on prospect activity, lead generation and customer account meeting status, following prescribed tm sales methodologies and processes through salesforce and associated solutions
Work with a dedicated set of accounts to prospect, nurture and close
Focus on targeting the smb segment ($3-10m fum)
Work closely with account executives to determine sales strategy and approach
Clearly communicate the value of our products to prospective customers
Manage contract negotiations to establish the foundation of a strong working relationship with our customers
Work with the internal operations team to smoothly onboard new customers
Help identify and build standard methodologies for the sales team
Act as an ambassador for transplace’s mission, brand, and product
5+ years in business development or sales roles
Demonstrated success in a b2b selling environment
Experience with the full lifecycle of selling
College-level degree preferred

Stellar organizational skills
Expertise in hvs, 6sense, zoominfo, qualified, linkedin navigator
Salesforce proficient (hunter mentality)
Proficient with excel, word, slack, google suite
Amount of traveling
Less than 10% travel
