This position can be remote-based within any major city within the continental united states.
Job summary:
This position is responsible for providing measurement and verification, technical analysis and portfolio review of financially guaranteed projectsTravel to customer sites, including some international locations, up to 50% of time.
Core job responsibilities (others may be added):
Conducts pre- and post-retrofit and performance period measurements for the verification of energy savings throughout the project.
Prepares annual m&v report for project during the performance period, including data analysis, to document the verified savings for the period and comparing to contractually guaranteed savings.
Works with the customer and trane field sales office to identify any change in the facility or operation that will impact savings.
Work with the contracting officer to update the m&v plan based on any changes required in the performance period.
Provide training to sales office, customer, and subcontractor personnel involved in the measurement and verification process.
Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating updates and outcomes.
Works with project development team for the development of energy savings and performance contracting projects including espc, enable, pact and other performance contracting contract vehicles.
Perform building “walk throughs” and identify energy conservation measures in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
Works with development team and customer to determine best method for measurement and verification of systems performance.
Develops measurement and verification plan and works with proposal team on technical writing and input for development of proposals.
Coordinate activities of technicians and subcontractors.
Overnight travel, including some international locations, up to 50% of time.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years’ experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in measurement and verification is required.
Valid driver’s license.
Cmvp certification required (or able/willing to obtain within 1 year.)
Key competencies:
Knowledge and experience with hvac, control, electrical systems as well as cost and savings studies incorporating energy conservation measures.
Excellent analytical skills, including the use of spreadsheets, simulation software, and other programsApplies knowledge of engineering principles and practicesAccurately assess and provide feedback on project riskAccurately analyze data output for trends and identification of deviations that require additional investigation.
Must be us citizen to obtain visitor access to us military bases and other federal facilities.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Ability to interface professionally with customers, contractors, and associates.
Ability to work autonomously, as part of a team, and collaborate with multiple roles within trane and in customer’s organization.

Base pay range (for colorado residents): for salaried positions: $79,000- $165,000
Additional compensation: incentive package up to 10%
