Purpose and scope
The new product marketing team is responsible for ensuring tolmar continues to deliver patient-centric therapies with a robust pipelineThe manager new product marketing plays a critical role in this pursuit, serving as an advocate for patient needs – both for internal development programs and for potential business development opportunities.
Essential duties & responsibilities
Quickly develop a foundational understanding, and become a go-to resource, for assigned product therapeutic areas tolmar is pursuing.
Includes researching multiple data sources and organizing relevant information in an easy-to-follow document to be leveraged by appropriate team members.
Help identify and fill key knowledge gaps about assigned programs.
Support cross-functional teammates to execute initiatives to gather insights and develop actionable and impactful recommendations.
Includes formal market research (qualitative and quantitative), advisory boards, expert interviews, etcWith diverse stakeholders (patients/caregivers, hcps, payers).
Effectively manage external partners as the key point-of-contact (e.g., market research vendors).
Support new product marketing team members in developing business cases for internal or business development opportunities.
Serve as an integral and vocal member of cross-functional product development teams.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills & abilities
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Strong analytical skills both quantitative and qualitative.
Strong project and process management skills, along with the ability to work on multiple, prioritized tasks.
Experience in designing and conducting market research, both qualitative and quantitative.
Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with internal and external partners.
Prefer the ability to build flexible financial models in excel to estimate the value of new product ideas and existing portfolio products.
Excellent written and oral communication skills including presenting business cases.
Some demonstration to influence cross-functional colleagues in a matrix organizational structure.
Comfort with ambiguity; strategic thinking and ability to synthesize information and make decisions with incomplete data.
General understanding of pharmaceutical industry.
Pharmaceutical product development processes strongly preferred.

Education & experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences or marketing; mba preferred.
3-5 years’ experience in business development, consulting, market research, sales or marketing, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
Compensation and benefits
Annual pay range of $115,000 - $125,000
