Overview: the department of mechanical engineering offers undergraduate and graduate programs in human factors engineering and mechanical engineering with over 350 students enrolled in our academic programs each yearThe mission of the department is to graduate students with a sound basis for professional practice and a career in lifelong learningWe do this through classroom experiences, individual advising, research opportunities, and open-ended, hands-on experiencesWhat you`ll do: the student advisor advises and counsels students on academic program of study; monitors student academic progress and identifies students of concernWrites and updates orientation and resource materialsResearches and coordinates technology improvements for student records and processesWhat we`re looking for: basic requirements:
Knowledge and skills as typically acquired by a bachelor’s degree in science, math or engineering preferred
Experience in academic advising, mentorship or education
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in stem or education disciplines
