Tetra tech is currently looking to hire a full time cultural resource archaeological principal investigator to support the continued growth and development of our intermountain west group based in salt lake city, utahThe selected person will act as a principal investigator engaging in and overseeing a wide range of cultural resource related activities including, but not limited to, ensuring project health and safety compliance, overseeing agency and client coordination, marketing and business development, client assistance, managing field projects, and managing technical report developmentSupervision and coordination of technical crew members, including field directors and crew chiefs, to complete assigned tasks will also be requiredPotential projects include, but is not limited to, field inventory, monitoring, evaluative testing, and site mitigation within the states of colorado, idaho, nevada, utah, and wyomingTravel, when required, will be to support staff as needed and do field checks depending on project location and scaleAdditional travel can be required to support business and professional developmentOffice-based work can be set up remotely and/or in the salt lake city office.
Qualifications: the candidate must have attended an archaeological field school and have at least six years of north american cultural resource management experience working in the western portions of the united statesThe candidate must be able to qualify as a principal investigator on one or more regional agency cultural resource use permits or be listed as a principal investigator on certain agency project specific permitsCandidates must be able to lift 35-lbs and, when needed, work in open terrain outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
Degree requirements: minimum education requirement is a master of arts in anthropology/archaeology with a concentration in north american archaeology.
