Tiag is hiring a* database developer* to join our team in charleston, sc supporting the naval information warfare center (niwc)Niwc provides health information technology engineering support for department of defense (dod) medical departments, defense health agency (dha), and other dod medical organizations.
The database developer will work with our team supporting the naval information warfare center better known as niwc, in the areas of systems engineering, systems testing, systems integration, clinical intelligence systems engineering, business intelligence, health registries systems engineering, data modeling and integration, as well as the requisite information assurance support required to secure the aforementioned capabilities for niwc supported applications.
Software / database mid level developer with 3-5 years experience managing and developing etl technologies/functions (sql, psql, scripting), data transformation & cleansing, and tuning data warehouses
Providing support to application and database design, development, implementation and testing requirements in support of mission critical applications for the dha
Experience performing data storage, security, integrity, and performance management functions for supported database management systems (dbms)
Performing complex sophisticated analysis, synthesis of analytic results, development and implementation of techniques and procedures
Reviewing management manipulation of complex high volume health data from a variety of sources in support of application database requirements
Partnering with project and requirement leads to translate functional specifications into technical specifications for projects utilizing complex high volume data
Bachelor`s degree and 3+ years related experience in database engineering
Ability to prepare detailed reports which might include multiple system requirements
Knowledgeable of available equipment environment to determine technical approaches, and to formulate appropriate solutions
Familiar with data structures, data structure within a dbms, and methods for defining data relationships
Ability to evaluate database design tradeoffs, impacts on user expectations, performance levels, and space allocation requirements
Must have current or the ability to obtain required security clearance for this position
Security+ certification is preferred
Oracle experience, aws redshift, aws rds, and any aws cloud native services
Database administration and management experience for the data warehouses, online analytic (olap) cube monitoring, and daily operations and maintenance of sql server integration services (ssis), sql server analytic services (ssas), and sql server reporting services (ssrs)
