About the role
How you will contribute
Gather data from the customer and internal sources as input for problem solving and communicate/report to appropriate personnelInteract with staff within the locations and within the company and all customer and prospective customer representatives.
Lead kaizen workshops across the entire region (amr).
Champion lean deployment, includes being an aid in developing, implementing and maintaining a lean culture within the organization using a hands-on approach.
This includes training programs to support continuous improvement.
Develop and provide lean tool training for all amr sites.
Facilitate lean tool deployment; gemba, 5s, vsm, kaizen etc.
Develop and implement irreversible corrective actions for known problemsUse established problem-solving techniques to reduce process variation.
Weekly/monthly follow up with sites being assisted with lean deployment tools and action items, ensuring site meet milestones as required.
Lead regional and local quality initiatives.
Using internal data and analysis, identify projects to assist sites with continuous improvement actions.
Conform to the processes and requirements of the synchronized management system.
Achieve effectiveness of the synchronized management system by following the quality policy and meeting company objectives.
Other duties as assigned.
Your key qualifications
College with a technical degree is requiredBachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
Required experience with lean tool deployment, ability to provide training and coach.
Preference given to six sigma designations (black or green belt)
Experience working in an automotive or logistics environment working in a quality capacity.
Knowledge and/or training in automotive quality core tools (apqp, fmea).
Knowledge of relevant international standards (iso 9001, 14001; ohsas 18001 etc.).
Strong analytical and technical skillsStrong experience using ms office products.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills - written and oral in order to deal with a wide range of internal and external customers
Ability to perform repetitive duties and detail work accurately.
Ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people including syncreon team members as well as all levels customer from managerial to hourly.
Ability to travel 75% of time (sometimes more) to various regions/sites for launches and new projectsRemote work option when not traveling is available.
Ability to work with frequent distractions.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Administrative ability.
Excellent customer service and/or interpersonal skills.
Ability to support shop floor 75% at any given time during a projectBased on project work load/facility needs.
