As a disabled veterans case managers (dvcm) you will play a vital role in assisting veterans and eligible spouses who have served our country find gainful employmentYou will be providing core and intensive case management services to veterans and eligible spouses with barriers that prevent them entering in to and retaining employmentPart of your day will be spent in the community (both virtually and in person when appropriate) as an advocate as you collaborate with community and internal partners to leverage referral services and resourcesWith this in mind we will rely heavily on your ability to communicate with and show empathy for a diverse population.
What a typical day looks like:
Conduct individual appointments to articulate program services, requirements and activities.
Develop individual employment service plans in partnership with clients.
Identify and evaluate barriers and explore solutions to assist in removing barriers.
Assist in obtaining needed documentation to aid clients in their job search and obtain various benefits that they might be eligible for.
Facilitate and refer customers to appropriate support services to promote self-sufficiency and employment.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to promote an integrated service delivery experience for shared customers.

This is an in-training opportunity and will be hired as a worksource specialist 2 or 3, depending on qualificationsYou will be required to successfully complete the training plan in order to promote to the next level of the series until the goal class of worksource specialist 4 is reachedSalary ranges for these levels are: worksource specialist 2: $38,592 - $50,256 annually depending on qualificationsWorksource specialist 3: $41,352 - $54,108 annually depending on qualificationsWorksource specialist 4: $45,504 – $59,688 annually depending on qualifications.

A combination of education and/or relevant experience* totaling no less than six (6) years.
One (1) year of experience as a worksource specialist 2 within the employment security department, or in an equivalent class with another state`s employment security agency.
*such as: customer service, unemployment insurance, social services, human resource services, education, public relations, benefits programs, insurance claims, law enforcement and banking.* education to experience equivalences: associate degree = 2 years | bachelor degree = 4 years | masters or higher = 5 years
Additional requirement of employment:
Ability to travel to provide services to our customers and community partners.
Must be able to pass an unemployment insurance (ui) claim & benefit information review.
