The global tools & storage (gts) division of sbd, which drives $10b of the total $14b business, is currently seeking a marketing activation managerThis position will report to the director, marketing activation as part of the global customer experience (gcx) teamThis position will support the gts brand, commercial and channel teams in strategic and creative grass roots marketing and tradeshow solutions that help connect gts, brand, and local communities to drive brand awareness, consideration, and advocacy.
Who we’re looking for:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, out-of-the-box thinker, who will be proactive and look to identify opportunities to streamline processes and work cross-functionally with the business and gcx teams support and execute strategic and creative marketing solutionsThis person will support and drive day to day project activities, with accuracy and on timeThe brand strategist is responsible for owning a project portfolio and managing deliverables with the cross-functional team.
Activate events based on c&i team strategy
Produce event content, materials and leave behinds
Own marketing theme| blitz e2e activation & measurement of outcomes
Coordinate with corporate team
Ensure compliance of the brand standards and maintain consistency of all communication elements across marketing-based activities.
Effectively work cross-functionally and build relationships with a number of internal teams, from product to research and to our channel/category and product team partners.
Assist in the execution of media and public relations activities in support of new product launches and brand campaigns.
Ensure brand projects are tracking to timelines and budgets.
Understanding of financials including budget management, operating within an expense budget as specified, following all doa procedures as outlined, and providing cost analysis/measure of any/all merchandising activities executed.
Work with the research team to gain insight into how our user segments experience our brands and create solutions aligning to those segments.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
2-5 years’ experience in a b2b or b2c marketing or brand role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency using powerpoint and strong presentation skills
Excellent analytical, time-management, and project management skills with ability to supervise multiple projects
Superb interpersonal skills and working in a complex, matrixed organization
Self-driven & internally motivated
Strong financial management skills
Extreme attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects at once
Interest in marketing trends, including competitive and retail or b2b environment
Strategic planning skills
