Strategy
The role is expected to be forward looking on proactively clearing the hurdles on the risk mitigation front on the data security, quality and time bound dissemination of information to the shareholders and an iterative process periodically in the light of changing business scenarios.
Provide guidance to group or country sbim teams on matters related to data governance and propose solutions to enable secure, timely and efficient delivery of information to the stakeholders.
Liaise with customers on the periodic review and re-negotiation of service level agreements and any other related performance and quality measures
Business
Strategic business information management (sbim) is a one stop provider of business information that not just gives a historical view of the bank but also is progressive in giving a strategic view of the future.
The core focus is not just to be a provider of information but also be a strategic partner with an understanding of the business context.
Manage data and information support for all the key initiatives of business units across retail bank supporting the respective country and group teams.
To work closely with the project teams (business & technology), to review the integration of new functionality / technology implementation projects initiated and ensure that the projects are in line with the information management policy guidelines.
Processes
Sbim handles a series of complex processes including but not limited to country data, group data, data visualisation, scorecards across retail banking products, data management, retail banking products and across retail banking segments.
Create a robust data infrastructure, to be leveraged for downstream reporting and analyticsAutomate and streamline existing ways of sourcing and transformation of data using out of the box processes, procedures and innovative practices.
Ensuring total customer centric through zero misses on delivery, accuracy, timely report dissemination and proactive communication.
Contribute significantly to the processes leading up to scorecard performance tracking and incentive calculation.
Interact with metrics owners across various functions and get an end to end understanding of the metrics and check the applicability of the metrics across various scorecards.
Continuous improvement in the productivity standards prescribed and updated periodically.
People and talent
Take ownership of significant portion contributing to the end to end project from inception of delivery of final product and handling exceptions.
Risk management
Work closely with technology and ops function and the data warehouse team on solutions to resolve identified production issues which are impacting existing infrastructure /solution covering data quality, data assurance, refresh timeliness, data security governance.
Manage the infrastructure need of the internal team to mitigate any potential risks of non-performance.
Governance
Periodic monitoring of the team’s compliance levels on the data usage and the data security parameters.
Participate in projects by performing uats as required (for e.gOn report conversion/migration enhancements).
Analytics
Support the stakeholders across different businesses (customer acquisition, portfolio management, new product development) through effective communication and support to understand their business needs and translate them into insightful mis/ visualizations/ interactive dashboards.
Proactively support the analytics offering for all the key initiatives across retail products and segments through meaningful and actionable analytical findings for business user consumption.
Should be able to demonstrate an understanding of identifying the sources of data, transformation process of the data elements and model the data as required.
Regulatory & business conduct
Display exemplary conduct and live by the group’s values and code of conduct.
Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across standard chartered bank including an understanding of and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the group code of conduct.
Contribute to the sbim team to achieve the outcomes set out in the bank’s conduct principlesEffectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

To support the regular connects with the stakeholders, srm meetings, gate meetings periodically and on a need basis.

External auditors, senior members of other finance shared services centres in the industry and peer group companies related businesses.
Our ideal candidate
Be / b.tech / mca with (or) mba / chartered accountant with 3-6 years of hands on sas experience, process re-engineering, and organisation design.
Strong understanding of financial industry, specifically on banking products and services and business intelligence tools.
Exposure to a large international bank in driving performance effectiveness / business analytics.
Effective communication skills, including presentation skills and influencing senior management.
Solid people and project management skills with building relationships and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrate initiative and proactive thinking.
