What would you be doing?
The finance specialist provides critical support to the finance team to ensure successful coordination of finance related activities across departmentsWill assists with tasks in the areas of payroll and accounts payable.
What would you be doing?
In collaboration with the financial administrator and the human resource department representatives review and prepare the critical documents for the submission of bi-weekly payroll and any other payroll related processes (i.e., bonus).
Analyze and process federal and state levies, child support payments, and writs of garnishment.
Prepare the necessary documentation to support the preparation of journal entries on both a biweekly and monthly basis that support the creation of the monthly financial statements.
Gather all the necessary supporting documentation (i.e., approvals, invoice, etc.) to process and pay the accounts payable invoices.
Review invoices to ensure reasonableness and proper approvals in compliance to existing policies.
Assist the accounting team with data entry tasks.
Generate system related reports and collaborate with the human resource and accounts payable department representatives to ensure timely and accurate payment of benefit plan premiums.
Generate the required reports for the annual worker’s compensation audit.
Assist in the distribution of w-2 forms.
Collect, review, and maintain all critical payroll files and records, both electronically and hard copies.
Self-starter, has natural curiosity, preciseness, and timeliness in the completion of required tasks and duties
Assist with and review adjustments to payroll deductions as needed.
Facilitate the transmission of 401k and other contributions.
Process employee expense reimbursement requests and credit card expense reports.
Communicate effectively across different levels and departments within the organization as well as vendors and service provider representatives to resolve outstanding issues.
Research and resolve discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor credits through effective communication within the organization as well as with vendors.

Keen attention to detail.
Education/experience
Associates degree
3-5 years of experience.
Work location –
