As a key account manager- end user public sector , you’ll be responsible for building and fostering relationships with public segment end users to position connected lighting system solutionsThis role reports to the public segment leader of systems and services sales within signify north america.
You will be part of the “a team” which focuses on cities, municipalities, utilities, dots &, higher education end user clients in the united states.

What you’ll do…
Represent signify’s connected lighting systems and services portfolio across public segment to include cities, municipalities, utilities, dots &, higher education end user clients in the united states market region.
Responsible for leading the relationship with key target public segment accounts within united states market while working collaboratively with our channel partners as required to grow and strengthen our one public market strategy.
Responsible for developing and executing the strategic account planning while balancing short, medium and long-term strategies.
Drive excellence in salesforce crm utilization to support operational performance across signify organization.
Maximize sales performance & profitability with primary focus on orders intakeEnsures continued cost-efficiency and profitability by determining the appropriate balance between price, sales volume and market conditions.
Serve as the expert “ambassador” of lighting beyond illumination towards our end user customersAct as thought leader for public segment communicating every changing market dynamics associated with smartcity, iot and technology back into organization to support actionable changes that will drive sustained growth.
Your qualifications…
A minimum of 5+ years’ experience selling to state/ municipal end user customers is highly preferred
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
Experience working with utilities, energy engagement, energy efficiency related programs, or similar is desirable.
Experience selling iot or a connected product portfolio is required.
Value based, consultative seller that can manage large deals from demand creation to contract execution and fulfillment/installation
Demonstrated track record of managing and building relationships at the executive level of state/municipal end user customers
Understanding/experience with the procurement/funding process state and local government
Ability to travel nationally 50% of the time
