Vice president investor relations is part of the finance teamOur finance function drives strategy and critical processes as we grow and mature the business from a privately-held, venture-backed organization to a publicly traded company.
About the role
The vice president investor relations is responsible for developing, implementing and executing a comprehensive, global strategic investor relations program in compliance with corporate policies and securities regulationsThis role serves as the primary contact to analysts, shareholders, and investment bankers, with responsibility for building and maintaining relationships to broaden investment interest in satellogic.
Location: charlotte, nc or remote within central and eastern time zones.
Serves as primary investor and analyst contact capable of articulating our business and financial model in a clear and concise manner and building confidence in our vision and strategy both internally and externally.
Oversees and performs research and analysis of industry, peers and competitors’ financial statements, operational metrics, valuation, relative stock price movements, investors’ and analysts’ perceptions and opinions, and stock ownership, as well as other ad-hoc analysis.
Collaborates with the marketing team and other functions on strategic communications matters, including, but not limited to: m&a, corporate sustainability/esg, financial media relations, and crisis and issues management.
Manages the quarter earnings process including the preparation of related scripts, press releases, presentations and practice questions.
Supports the implementation of the company’s esg program.
Leads in the development, design, writing, production and coordination of investor relations presentations to the financial community, as well as other investor materials including press releases and transaction releases.
Partners with the finance and legal team in writing and/or editing parts of financial filings including on sec forms 20-f and 6-k.
Manages the ir calendar, including organizing conferences, road shows, and investor meetings, to support analyst, investor and other investment community events.
Manages external ir vendor services and relationships.
Oversees logistics and administration of conference calls, webcasts, ir website, analysts’ days, analysts meetings, investor roadshows, investor conferences, the annual meeting of shareholders, and other related events.
Works closely with management to address shareholder questions and resolve issues.
Experience and skills:
7 - 10 years work experience in: corporate ir, treasury, finance, investment banking, sell-side investment research, corporate development and similar positions with a publicly traded company or agency ir experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, superior intellect and an outstanding ability to communicate, orally and in writing, together with c-level and board presentation experience.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships within the investor/analyst community.
Ability to quickly grasp and articulate our business strategy and certain technical elements to investors and others in the capital markets ecosystem.
Excellent time management, planning and organization skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to think and act in the best interests of our investors, customers, and employees including collaborating, constructively disagreeing, and executing in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Exceptional decision-making and analytical skills, as well as deep knowledge of capital markets and understanding of financial modeling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors.
Bachelor’s degree requiredCpa, cfa, or mba is a plus.
International experience is welcomed.
Fluency in english required; spanish would be a plus.
Up to 20% domestic and international travel.
