Iecmh training specialist
This position will be focused on building infant and early childhood mental health (iecmh) capacity in south carolina by delivering trainings and facilitating reflective communities of practice where professionals from child-and family-serving disciplines can learn to deliver evidence-based iecmh interventionsAdditionally, this position is responsible for supporting expansion of our reflective supervision learning collaborative by providing group reflective supervision to multiple cohortsThis position reports directly to scimha’s iecmh capacity building director.
Provide group reflective supervision to multiple cohorts made up of professionals from various child serving disciplines.
Oversee project planning including recruitment, vetting, registration and delivery of trainings to expand the number of professionals trained to deliver attachment biobehavioral catch-up, facilitated attuned interaction, circle of security, and child parent psychotherapy in the state.
Coordination and co-delivery of iecmh certificate at all three levels: foundations, advanced, clinical.
Build relationships with child-serving partners to create referral protocols, encourage information sharing, and build cross-agency support systems
Support creation, maintenance, and management of training database to track delivery of scimha trainings and delivery of iecmh interventions delivered by professionals who earn certification following training on the intervention models such as attachment biobehavioral catch-up, facilitated attuned interaction, circle of security, and child parent psychotherapy.
Facilitate reflective communities of practice and ongoing support for trainees in their implementation of iecmh programs.
Minimum knowledge & experience:
While the services provided by the iecmh training manager will not be clinical, the professional training and experience of a clinician who has worked to support the relational health of children 0-5 and their families will be important in developing the approach and implementation of training and delivery of iecmh models with various partner agencies.
In depth experience with iecmh models such as fan, abc, cos and cpp.
Trained in and familiar with dc: 0-5
Master`s degree in psychology, early childhood development, social work, special education, counseling or related field.
Minimum 2 years in leadership role that includes project management
Minimum 2 years of relevant infant mental health practice
Must have earned or be eligible for, endorsement for culturally sensitive, relationship-focused practice promoting infant and early childhood mental health® in the category of imh specialist or imh mentor
Minimum 2 years experience providing and receiving reflective supervision
