Area manager - sales
The area manager - sales will plan and implement strategies to achieve budgeted volumes in the motorcycle business which includes motorcycle’s booking target (dealership), market share and penetration of make it yourself (miy) salesThe incumbent will ensure that budgeted volumes/revenues are achieved in genuine motor accessories’ revenue, apparel revenueHe/ she will strive to improve operational efficiency of the business by identifying areas of process improvements.
Ensure the sale of vehicles based on the goals and objectives as defined by the cluster manager
Plan and achieve the organizational goals in the annual plan, in terms of volumes, market share, profitability and overall growth of the organization by expansion of touchpoints
Handling of dealerships in the specified region and review the sales process at dealerships
Ensuring that dealers achieve the booking / wholesale annual business plan
Travel as per fixed journey cycle to dealership and review forecasts
Offer dealership sales manpower training as required.
Issuing all demonstration vehicles and ensuring that appropriate dealership records are maintained.
Ensuring that dealership infrastructure is as per latest corporate identity process norms and are compliant to all royal enfield norms / policies
Attending to customer complaints, ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is obtained
Ensuring appropriate mis reporting
Organize rides & customer meets as per target
Responsible for launch of various customer schemes as and when required, based on the annual budgeted cost for the region.
Plan and implement sales promotional activities, capturing optimum market shares
Showcase consistent customer satisfaction index & sales satisfaction index
Maintaining relationship with business partners – dealers, banks & financial institutions
Coordinating the appropriate supply of new vehicles and ordering/acquiring vehicle inventory
Ensuring the sale of number of vehicles based on the goals and objectives as defined by the cluster manager
Implementation of special projects and drive improvements as per tat (turn around time) and web conversion ratio
Monitor the quality of manpower availability for both sales and service
Ensuring retail excellence (rex) audit compliance by dealers
Lead customer satisfaction (csat) action plan by reducing cost deviation, time deviation and reducing the number of reported complaints
Track dealer financials to ensure dealers’ to be profitable and develop strategies to improve financial performance
Bachelors in engineering / technology (mechanical)
4+ years of experience in sales / business development role in automotive / fmcg sector
