Rowan is seeking a product-obsessed, and organized merchandising managerReporting to the head of product, this position will support our product team and assist with assortment planning and merchandising for ecommerce and rowan studios.
What you`ll be doing:
Create and drive unique merchandise assortments that bring excitement to the rowan customer while meeting sales strategies
Be able to communicate the stories of each collection and their design inspiration and ethos
Partner with the inventory planning team on investment strategies to ensure hero and core products are protected in assortments
Partner with creative, and marketing teams to manage, coordinate and execute merchandising and styling capsules for all rowan photoshoots
Research the market regularly to understand the competitive landscape and brand opportunities by category
Analyze category and vendor performance identifying opportunities and trends for assortment expansion
Provide new product suggestions and concepts for all channels of distribution including website, catalog and print media based on selling data, industry trends and product knowledge.
Work closely with the product development team and participate in design product review meetings to ensure all channels of distribution (dtc studios, ecommerce and wholesale partners) receive the optimal assortment to drive revenue and meet goals
Identify and stay up to date on industry trends
Develop otb and buying plan for stand alone studios and rowan.com
Perform sales analyses in order to determine key item base, breadth of selection and effective product allocation
Own gross margin analysis for each studio location’s buy and ensure proper assortment for optimal sales growth
Own the buying process from supplier orders through ordering to studio level
What you`ll bring:
Minimum 3 years of experience in merchandising and buying
Jewelry experience a plus
Ability to analyze trends and sales data
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with different teams
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Team player, flexible, ready to pivot priorities quickly
