As the marketing manager, you will have a diverse role that will cover a broad spectrum of responsibilitiesYou will work closely with your team members (corporate marketing) and with your primary stakeholders, the na sales teamYou will be seen as a trusted marketing advisor to these teams and develop programs and content that help them achieve their revenue goals.
As a senior marketeer, and a member of the corporate marketing leadership team you will help ross corporate marketing become a well-oiled marketing machine -trusted by its stakeholders and admired by its competitors.

Some of the things you will work on:
Provide day to day direction for the marketing coordinator for routine business activity.
Provide coaching, training, and feedback to the regional marketing manager on routine tasks.
Provide feedback on team performance to the manager of regional marketing.
Act as a point of escalation for the marketing coordinator for internal and external issues.
Assist with interviewing, selecting, onboarding, and training of new marketing coordinator.
Provide overall support to assigned regional sales managers.
Monitor and evaluate the activities of the marketing coordinator in liaison with the manager of regional marketing
Local marketing support
Work with recruitment (hr) to promote ross within our local (ottawa, iroquois communities) -and as required within na.
Collaborate with the events team, rsms and mpm’s to ensure smooth and effective trade shows / roadshows
Agree marketing focus and themes for events with rsm’s
Work with corporate marketing to promote event
Liaise with mpms on product messaging
Work with creative team to develop signage, displays etc.
Coordinate logistics with the events team
Create a north american event plan
Gathering and managing tradeshow key metrics: leads, visitors, social promo roiEtc.
Ensuring that ross takes advantage of any keynote/speaking opportunities
Provide feedback to corpMarketing, rsms and vp sales on tradeshow effectiveness
Review tradeshow effectiveness and look for more appropriate shows (i.e new verticals etc.)
Collaborate with the pr manager in spearheading north american pr activities
Negotiating/creating na user stories
Negotiating editorial coverage in regional trade publications as required
Providing translation of approved press releases, case studies, testimonials, and thought leadership material
Contributing to pr circulation database
Developing case study, testimonial (written and video) and thought leadership material
Creating north american print ad plan
Managing na print ad budget
Negotiating print ad contracts as required
Providing feedback regarding market acceptability/effectiveness of print ad creative
Contributing to print ad creatives
Providing translation of print ads
Providing feedback regarding market acceptability of collateral
Commission collateral for local markets, as and when required
Create and manage na e-marketing plan
Managing na marketing budget
Collaborate with the webmaster in the management of the content of ross video’s website
Providing feedback regarding market acceptability/effectiveness of corporate website
Sales / sales channel support
Work closely with the bp marketing manager and rsms to ensure the effective marketing, promotion and sell-through of products
Actively producing lead generating strategies that go beyond the day to day marketing communications and that can be easily established by the regional sales team and the third-party channels
Take a lead in working with rsms to construct marketing t-plans
Drive successful execution of marketing t-plans
New product development/marketing
Support the launch of new products by ensuring marketing contributes to the regional new product development process and new product go-to-market strategies
Ideally, you will have most of the following:
University degree – preferably in marketing but not required
Fully qualified marketing professional
5 year’s experience working in a marketing role
A working knowledge of ms access, ms word, ms excel, outlook (e-mail) programs, photoshop knowledge but not essential
Strong organizational and communication skills
A professional and confident manner
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for occasional travel to ottawa location
Passport required for travel to us or overseas.
