The opportunity
Write, review, and execute functional, automation, or performance test cases for enterprise software productsUnderstand portions of the business for a specific product line or platform.
Responsibilities:
Working autonomously:
Write test plans for each assigned testing project with traceability to requirements and as well as defects.
Execute test plans for each assigned testing projectProvide daily progress and escalate testing issues to qa team lead.
Enter accurate and timely information into the defect and other project tracking systems.
Validate applications per defined acceptance criteria.
Validate that user and system documentation is complete and correct.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams - product, business analysts, and developers on tasks related to the planning, testing, and following release activities.
Knowledge and skills:
Working knowledge of software test methodologies and best practices
Ability to work in a team environment and be responsible for self
Manually testing salesforce applications using a combination of user-interface and rest apis.
Testing experience with salesforce.com with lightning products a big plus.
Using project life-cycle tools such as qc, testrail, rally, jira
Ms-office specifically microsoft word, project, excel, visio & powerpoint.
Nice-to-have understanding of rest apis and experience using a api testing tool
Nice-to-have database testing experience, preferably soql (from salesforce.com)Data loader is a plus.
Nice-to-have - devops process and familiarity with jenkins, teamcity, or copado.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, software engineering or computer science preferred
Total of over 3 years of work experience as a quality assurance analyst with at least 1 year of experience working with the salesforce platform.
Ability or willingness to learn how to gather evidence, analyze impact, diagnose, document, help troubleshoot, and isolate bugs and issues encountered during testing.
Previous background in agile stlc, defect lifecycle, test metrics (and kpis) a big plus.
Proactive, customer-oriented, and able to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic and cross functional environment.
Must be an effective team player with “yearning to learn more” attitude.
