About the role
We`re looking for an experienced senior accountant to join our growing finance & accounting team to be based in bangalore, indiaOur team in india is a core investment area for rippling and always has been since the founding of the companyWhether hiring for r&d, s&m or g&a functions, the roles we hire in india are key to our everyday business decisions, processes, and long-term successThis particular role is for an individual that will contribute significantly to the monthly close processes, audit preparation, and cross-functional partnership with fp&a and finance business partnership teamsIn addition to these projects there will be strategic initiatives supporting rippling`s future growth including product development input and key projects for the cfo and controller.
What you`ll do:
Prepare and process monthly journal entries in compliance with established policies and procedures and gaap including accruals, provision, amortizations, and bs reconciliation for key balance sheet and p&l accounts
Build cross-functional partnerships to establish monthly expense review processes with various department leads
Review and oversight of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
Reviewing fx revaluation and fx translation results.
Participate and lead accounting projects as needed.
Support the management in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting systems, procedures, and the policies.
Hands-on experience with asc 350 (internal use software) and asc 718 (stock based compensation) is a plus.
Perform monthly flux analysis and present findings to the leadership team
Manage vendor relationships and take ownership of procurement and payables processes
Liaise with external auditors and tax accountants to deliver pbc requests in a timely manner
Identifying potential process improvements and system enhancements to improve operational efficiencies and quality
Responsible for accurate and timely accounting and management reporting
Research transactions and various general ledger accounts to gather, review, and analyze data to present findings to supervisors
Qualifications:
Bachelor`s degree in finance/accounting and a ca or us cpa with 5-6 years exp
Advanced experience with microsoft excel and google sheets
Mix of big 4 audit experience and saas industry experience with us gaap
Experience with netsuite erp required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks, take ownership of work product and improve processes
Passion for fast-paced entrepreneurial work environments
