This position is for the ecm (electronic content management) division of our businessWe are an opentext partner that sells, implements, and supports capture and document management softwareAs an applicationxtender (ax) support technician, you will be tasked with assisting customers with issues and questions regarding ax, prioritizing tickets in the queue by validating correct priority level, working open cases until resolution, and if necessary, managing the escalation of tickets to the distributor and/or manufacturerAdditional responsibilities will include supplementing our professional services staff by assisting with ax upgrades, patch installations, and other general service activities for our customers.
Technical support of ax software for rds customers
Using rds’ help desk portal to track and update the status of tickets
Maintaining heath of client systems by keeping environments current with services packs and patches
Assisting rds technical staff with other ax related duties as required
Help desk experience for software supportPreferred experience with applicationxtender or other enterprise document management platform.
Client/server environment – applicant must have experience in working with server and client operating systems in various size organizationsThis includes high-level networking configurations and protocols.
Database knowledge, including the ability to use sql management studio to create, backup, and restore databasesThe applicant must be familiar with tables, including performing simple queries to search for records in a database.
Great people skillsAn ax support technician will be able to manage client expectations with regards to solving issues or answering questions in a manner that is professional and courteous to our clients.
Ability to create and maintain required documentationThis includes: documenting customer environment architecture, system configurations, help desk ticket information, etc.
Applicationxtender specific or other document management software experience
Other electronic content management (ecm) industry experience
Experience in working from a remote office, if not located locally
