Job description : position : florists department : shop sales reporting to : store manager location : mangalore job profile includes following but not limited to :- creating floral displays, wreaths and bouquets using flowers, plants, dried flowers, wire, tape, and foam — based on either your own designs, from design books or customers` requirements florists create arrangements and formal displays for special occasions and daily purchases set up displays on site, for example at conferences, churches, weddings or in funeral parlours advising customers on choosing flowers suitable for an occasion prepare various floral products by making efficient arrangement by way of trimming, shaping and decorating foliages keeping the shop clean and tidy topping up watering solutions to enhance our flowers` life spansAdvising clients on possible flower combinationsProviding occasion-specific flower suggestionsCarefully arranging palatable bouquets for purchaseResponsible for creating floral designsResponsible for sorting, organizing, cleaning and restock all suppliesResponsible to water and maintain all in-house plants and floral decorationsMonitor all flower vase inventory and counts for breakage or loss maintain photos of all variety of floral arrangements done as a sample or catalogue for the guestsStay up to date and current in design trends, floral techniques, props and other productsAdvanced knowledge of fresh floral product and design techniqueExcellent customer service skillsFlexibility, punctuality, teamwork and cleanlinessPrepare designs and make floral arrangement as per guest orders for special daysCoordinate with various departments and design and gather flowers for making beautiful flower bouquet for public displayAny other duties and tasks in the area assigned by the manager or supervisor.
