Reporting to the senior purchasing manager the senior contracts specialist will draft and/or redlining contracts in accordance with pros’s contracting standardsWhether redlining supplier paper or starting from pros agreement, you will ensure the right terms are in place for each contract given business needs and riskThis role partners with the sales & marketing department through the entire contracting process, including requirements planning, request for quote (rfq) process, negotiating and management of routine to complex vendor agreementsThis role will be required to follow all company policies and procedures and maintain compliant procurement folders, spend analytics and other relevant metricsPerforms other assignments, as required.
A day in the life of the senior contracts specialist - about the role:
Coordinate internal client request to interpret contractual rights and obligations.
Negotiate a variety of agreements to ensure that terms are consistent with overall business objectives, management priorities, and company policies in coordination with relevant internal subject matter experts, including sales, marketing, and product management
Provide day-to-day support for contract administration and collection efforts, and collaborate on ways to continually improve the contracts administration process.
Respond promptly to questions related to existing contracts from sales, professional services, product development, alliances and other clients.
Ensure current pros standard language, including new terms and conditions, is added to all contracts, as appropriate.
Coordinates with internal customers regionally and globally to review and develop requirements and assists in developing the most efficient rfp and procurement process for discrete projects;
Leads supplier negotiations with support from internal stakeholders to obtain the best value for pros;
Manages supplier relationships and troubleshoots issues;
Documents procurement files in accordance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Required qualifications - about you:
We are looking for candidates who possess the rare combination of the following achievements, skills and behaviors:
3 or more years of experience in a related field;
Bachelor`s degree required in finance or business administrationMaster’s degree is a plus and procurement certifications is preferred;
You’re knowledgeable in industry-standard technologies, contracting models and industry trends for the teams and commodities mentioned above;
You have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills;
You exhibit a high level of motivation, attention to detail, energetic approach to job duties and requirements;
You’re a self-starter with a high degree of organization skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
You have a global mindset, with a sensitivity to and willingness to work across cultures and time zones;
You’re able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
