As an account manager, you will be:
Managing client projects from beginning to end and/or leading accounts, working with junior team members and internal departments to coordinate and complete each step in the process
Acting as point of contact for clients leading communication day to day
Overseeing pitch programs for announcements working with all stakeholders such as media, vendors, or partner agencies
Developing media strategies, media lists, pitches and other materials, and then leading the execution
Expected to know when to pivot strategy and change pitches to secure coverage
Participating in account health management tasks such as budget tracking, team allocations, contract drafting and profitability
Keeping up to date with industry trends and competitive landscape using this knowledge to proactively identify opportunities
Using your current media relationships and building new relationships with media contacts, specifically in the health, wellness and beauty sector
Participating in and presenting trainings and other agency programs for staff, new business and culture initiatives
Experience: you have about 4-6 years of experience in public relations, communications, and/or client service in a related field in an agency environmentYou’ve got experience leading campaigns and managing workstreams, with a plethora of industry knowledge at your fingertipsYou have worked closely with the media (specifically in the health, wellness, and beauty sector) and have a strong track record of securing coveragePlease share a portfolio or links of recent media hits from the last six months in your email.
Excellent communicator: you are able to clearly and concisely communicate both verbally and in writingYou understand how to change your communication approach depending on your audienceYou have an awareness of the nuances that influence communication such as body language and toneYou know your way around a deck and are comfortable presenting to clients and colleagues.
