We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and talented analyst of global export controls to join our global trade compliance organizationThis role is vital as we drive global standardization, transformation, optimization of our tools and business processes related to export controls and complianceThis person will enable continued business continuity of poly’s export control-related activities, while also serving as the point of contact for matters related to export controls and compliance.
This role requires experience in export classification and export license determinations, and includes responsibilities for denied party exception screening, research and preparation of commodity classifications, export licenses and other trade-related matters.
Your day to day
You will be a key asset to poly’s international business activitiesYou will be responsible for maintaining and supporting enforcement of global export compliance policies, programs, and controls to ensure compliant sales and deliveries of poly’s products and services worldwideOther responsibilities include:
Manage export screening workbench and ensure timely release or action of pending orders and shipments
Provide guidance to internal stakeholders regarding poly export controls policies, processes and requirements to reinforce compliance
Research products and provide accurate eccns (export control classification numbers) related to technology, services and software
Development/maintenance of control files, data and rules in systems and tools
Support development and drafting of trade-related policies, processes, communications, and training
Prepare data and submissions for export licenses, ccats (commodity classification automated tracking system)
Daily support of company export activities, including restricted party screening.
Support monitoring and communications of relevant global export regulatory changes, including those related to sanctions, licenses, classification, encryption, and supply chain security
Assist with export audits and assessments; develop/maintain risk profiles and management of audit findings
What you bring to the team
Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
2+ years of export compliance experience
Ability to work independently by applying export rules and regulations to daily activities and exercising sound judgment.
Knowledge of u.sExport regulations and laws (itar, ear and ofac); experience with eu export controls a plus
Experience with export control commodity classifications (eccn, ccat) and denied party screening
Effective team player, with ability to work well with people; ability to work independently with good interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with microsoft office, especially excel
Experience with oracle global trade management (gtm) a plus
Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and exercise good judgment.
Good oral and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail.
