As a ui design manager
You will influence design, technology and business to create robust products that will define how india interacts with digital financeYou’ll collaborate with leaders from engineering and product management teams to create innovative experiences across all phonepe’s products, leveraging your passion for the art, craft, and science of design.
As a design leader, you will
Display leadership, provide direction, and mentor a team of product designers, researchers and visual designers.
Lead creative and holistic thinking across diverse products, platforms, and devices.
Deliver a ui strategy in accordance with a product vision, in a planned, evolutionary and iterative fashion.
Build strong relationships with leaders inside and outside their core product and technology teams to efficiently implement user experiences that are cohesive, inclusive, and well-informed.
Champion phonepe’s values and design principles across the organisation.
Be responsible for and effectively advocate for users in a fast-paced startup environment, conveying design leadership that builds a shared understanding of the sweet spot that is an intersection between design, business, and engineering.
As a design leader, you must have
Proven skills designing and developing simple to complex productsExperience in designing large-scale products in the consumer or fintech space will be a huge advantage.
Proven track record building and managing high-performing design teamsExperience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholder management.
A bDes or an mDes in design is ideal, however for the right candidate, this is not a constraint.
8+ years of design experience with at least 2+ years in leading teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate design and articulate decisions clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.
Past experience with startups and fast paced environments is an added advantageYou will be a bridge between the product design and the front-end engineering in translating the designed experience into detailed ui specifications.
You will be the custodian of the product ui right from the design stage all the way until the experience is shipped to productionThis means that you will also own the responsibility of creating a quality assessment for all designs in the development stage, ensuring zero loss in quality while in the transition from design to development to live production.
