This position in ethics & compliance team is responsible to initiate, design and ensure the implementation of policies, procedures, and controls so that company & compliance with labour and employment laws for gig workers including that of compliances of any licenses and permits lawsThis position serves as key strategic compliance partner for all the stakeholders on l&p compliance
Market focus with global perspective
Good understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to gig, unorganised sector workers compliances and licenses and permits specifically on identification of conditions and obligations under licenses and creating awareness to the stakeholders on all compliances and legal requirements.
Maintaining, updating, and tracking of all the compliances pertaining to gig employment, freelancer working compliances and related l&p’s and follow all the process and procedures set therein.
To ensure the training and awareness to relevant business units on the laws along with the compliances pertaining to the same.
On continuous basis should be tracking the developments of law pertaining to gig employment and implement all the compliances and legal requirements.
Working experience on gig/unorganised employment state laws pan india pertaining to labour laws and local municipal laws.
Implementation knowledge on current, local regulatory developments including the experience of handling conciliation matters before quasi-judicial authorities.
Possess working experience with labour enforcement agencies on compliances, l&p’s including maintenance, statutory pay outs etc for gig related employment areas.
- responsible for development, implementation, and monitoring of market- level program that satisfies
(1) global program requirements; (2) local laws and regulations; (3) local safety and reputational risks; and (4) local business needs and requirements.
Attending to notices, preparing responses and closure of all such notices without escalations.
Assist in due diligence on compliances and l&p’s if there are any m&a’s including ongoing monitoring of l&p’s of such entities.
Collaborate with hr/facility/operation/business teams and ensure all compliances, licenses and permits are availed for the company.
Work in partnership with tpi’s to ensure all the applicable compliances, licenses & permits are uptodate, and all such terms & conditions necessitated by them are complied in the facilities.
What you will need
10+ years of experience of working in gig/technology/product/ ecommerce organizations driving employment charter preferably a law graduate.
Experienced in implementing and managing employment law compliance programs and possesses good communication skillsDetail and process oriented, thought leader and is well versed with latest trends in their core areas and their applicability for business impact.
