General statement of duties
Up to 20 hours per week
$20-$25 per hour (doq)
Hours are flexible
Works in-person and remotely
First in this position with the opportunity to grow the public information function for person county government.
Involved in the website redesign project.
Performs professional work in developing and administering a program of external communications for the county that encourages transparency, open communication and community engagement.
Minimum education and experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, public administration, or a related field, and at least two years of experience in responsible public communications, public relations, community engagement or related work with experience in local government or in a public organization preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experiencePossession of a valid driver’s license.
