Pearce is seeking a well-qualified business development manager – wind servicesThis key role will be responsible for managing key accounts within the wind services business unit while also developing new business and partnerships nationally, with a market focus on utility scale wind farm oem’s, owners & epc’sThe key account manager will work closely with existing pearce customers to grow our revenue and expand our service offerings with key accounts and key target companiesThe key account manager will also identify, qualify, and develop potential customers and partners, and work with those partners to enable our services and solutions to fit their needsThis person will work closely with marketing, operations, engineering, and senior executive teams to ensure accurate and consistent messagingThe key account manager will combine solid hunter/sales skills, business acumen, leadership ability, technical knowledge, process management, and operational excellence to guide the growth of the business.
Duties and responsibilities
Managing and overseeing sales and business development aspects of this fast-growing business, which provides maintenance and repair services for utility scale wind turbines and assets across the us.
Identify potential customers and partners: project owners/developers, epc’s, oem’s, o&m providers, and other revenue opportunities within the us wind industry.
Qualify leads generated from existing contacts, marketing campaigns, trade shows, and senior executive contacts
Collaborate with marketing, operations, engineering, and senior executive teams to identify potential customers and partners
Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide consistent feedback to the organization on the needs of potential customers and partners
Work with the wind leadership team to negotiate final agreements including mous, mdnas and msa’s with potential customers and partners
Expand pearce renewables’ presence to drive new business opportunities nationally
Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners
Develop innovative strategies to expand market presence
Collaborate with industry organizations and stakeholders to increase business development opportunities
Represent pearce at trade shows, conferences, and industry organizations
Travel as required
Experience and qualifications
5+ years enterprise sales experience preferably within the wind / renewables / power electronics industry in the commercial, institutional, and/or industrial markets
5+ years of technical sales experience or 10+ years performing & managing technical services on utility scale wind turbines
Possess solid experience, contacts, and relationships within the renewables, wind oem’s or wind farm owners.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, engineering, and/or other industry-related field required; mba a plus
Navigate a multi-stakeholder sales process within the commercial, municipal, and federal clients, with a focus on c-level
Consultative sales experience, the discovery of pains, and the ability to map the right solutions to help customers solve their challenges and reach their goals
Experience with and understanding of operations and maintenance contracts
Illustrate roi to c-level decision-makers, as well as interacting with facilities managers and engineers
Fluent in excel, salesforce, ppt, and financial analysisStrong business acumen
Proficient working knowledge of microsoft office: outlook, word, excel, teams, powerpoint
Effectively support and work well with people from different disciplines
Organized and detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and quality
Strong customer-focused relationship builder
Client-facing exceptional communicator
