Pearce renewables is looking for a skilled and motivated human resources (hr) generalist to join our rapidly growing companyThis individual will play a key role on our team and supporting our business in several hr functions, including the following: benefits administration, hris management, employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, recruitment/onboarding, leave of absence administration and complianceIn addition, the hr generalist will have the opportunity to assist in the implementation of a variety of new hr processes and programs.
Because the responsibilities of this role are diverse, the ideal candidate will be a competent and resourceful person with a passion for hr who has the ability and desire to learn quickly.
Duties and responsibilities
The essential functions of the hr generalist position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide support to employees and managers in various hr-related topics such as leaves of absence, compensation, etcResolve issues and problems.
Supervise human resources training and development for the organization.
Manage employee file and record conservation/retention in electronic and/or paper form
Oversee compensation and benefit plans.
Investigate reports of policy violations and write substantive summaries of the investigations, conclusions, and actions taken.
Administer various human resources programs and procedures.
Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
Gather and analyze data with useful hr metrics.
Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
Lead interactive conversations with candidates and employees.
Support career path initiatives for technicians.
Track company incentive programs, including the quarter-per-quarter program.
Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes as needed.
Support the performance management process to deliver the maximum value to the organization.
Maintain company compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
Experience and qualifications
Proven experience as hr generalist
Thorough understanding general human resources policies and procedures
Solid knowledge of employment/labor laws
Ability to work independently under general direction
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to handle non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take
Outstanding knowledge of ms office (including advanced excel skills)
Hris experience, implementation experience strongly preferred (paylocity is a plus)
Excellent communication and people skills
Ability to navigate conflict, seeking positive, mutually beneficial outcomes
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
Process- and detail-oriented
Good judgment and the ability to ask for help when needed
Ability to work with diverse and strong personalities to drive results in fast-paced environment
5+ years of direct hr experience
Strong computer skills including working with enterprise level software and ms products
(s)phr or shrm-cp/scp certification preferred
Bachelor’s degree in hr/business administration or relevant field (or equivalent) is preferred.
