The business process, strategy & experience specialist supports the provider data process, strategy and experience teamThis individual is responsible for various activities related to optum care operations business processes and data management which may include any or all the following: performs root-cause analysis and aids in the implementation of process improvements, help develop and maintain business controls, as well as other projects and initiativesThe business process, strategy & experience specialist will perform data analysis, developing and maintaining standards for database integrity and quality assurance, coordinating corrective activities to clean database and retain users, and managing communication processes with other departments regarding database updates.

Root cause analysis
Self-guided research and review with team collaboration as needed.
Support business initiatives through data analysis, identification of implementation
Serve as the liaison between internal and external customers/users and development team
Help develop and deliver business requirements on standard operating processes
Partner with software development team to develop alt automation
Diagnose problems and identify opportunities for process redesign and improvement
Test application programs and systems to ensure accuracy

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Proficiency in microsoft office application
Proven ability to analyze, manipulate and process value from large datasets
Solid analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
Intermediate proficiency with microsoft suite, including excel, powerpoint, visio, word, outlook and sharepoint
Data analysis experience from either professional or academic experience
Advanced sql knowledge, including experience working with relational databases and writing queries
Business analysis experience including gathering requirements and providing recommendations
Provider data management experience
Experience with or knowledge of medicare or health insurance programs
Experience with ms visio
Experience working within a highly matrixed corporate setting
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, rapidly changing environment
Solid aptitude for working in a production-driven environment
Self-starter and able to work independently
Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendance
Ability to problem solve issues, including multiple priorities and research conflicting and or inaccurate data
Solid customer orientation, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
Solid analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, time management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds
Experience with verbal and written correspondence with all levels of an organization
