Position purpose:
Supervise and govern alternate source projects for external apis within sto, closely coordinating with site and/or platform for nto technical / manufacturingTrack/monitor project achievements for the assigned projects from spc approval, until submission and implementation of major marketsResponsible for successful implementation of alternate sources to improve supply, quality, resilience and deliver savings.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support the senior program manager for an assigned portfolio of approx150 of api alternate source projects from conceptualization, evaluation, through spc to final implementation of key markets.
Ensure new alternate source projects are scored for impact, prioritized, and approved according to established governanceEnsure that alternate source program is carried out as per plan
Prepare breakthrough plans for assigned projects including activities at novartis and 3rdparty suppliers, supervise achievement completion (approx5-7 milestones) and ensure adherence to the plan.
Ensure timely critical issue to the respective governance boards in cases where project execution will deviate from planProvide guidance to respective project team consisting of novartis and 3rdparty suppliers team members and set priorities for projects according sto governance
Highlight potential impacts on overall project timelines, demand and supplyMake sure that issues are investigated, solutions are found and implemented.
Follow up with teams on timely availability of information from 3rdparty suppliers to enable assessment according the m7 guideline
Attend governance and project meetings on platform and / or site level and present the project status, or project issues, if appropriate.
Contribute to process improvement and optimization initiatives (transfer projects, implementation of alternate sources etc....

Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
University level or above, engineering, economics or scientific degree project management certification is a plus.
Min 5+ years of project management and planning experience in an industrial operations environment is a must
Strong communication, collaborators management skills.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical operations principles and supply chain practices is added advantage.
Negotiations and project governance skills.
