Enterprise services , in support of ngms, is seeking an experienced cad cam engineer to provide leadership and support of the mission systems product lifecycle management (plm) programThis program consolidates multiple existing plm systems into an advanced plm environment that forms the foundation for the digital transformation of ngms engineering and manufacturingThe plm environment contains engineering and manufacturing product and process data for the sector and will integrate with other software systems including erp, mes and multiple cad/engineering tools.
The cad cam engineer will work in an agile environment to research, design, build and support sector-wide plm systemsDeveloper will adhere to software standards and utilize best practices to deliver a quality product.
Responsibilities include:
Providing technical leadership
Architecting, planning, development, testing, and implementation of teamcenter customizations and upgrades.
Root cause analysis, debugging problems with the teamcenter environment and working with the appropriate technical teams to develop, test, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
Monitor, address, and resolve production teamcenter environment incidents, service requests, workflows, client install packages, etc., collaboratively with the other plm development and administration teams.
Document all aspects of system support such that knowledge is readily shared among all those tasked with supporting teamcenter instances.
Provide support for system integration testing (sit) and user acceptance testing (uat) with business users as necessary.
End-user support for teamcenter enterprise and teamcenter unified software.
Provide demos to users as and when required.
Support business readiness and change management activities prior to go-live and in production.
Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, computer science or other engineering technology discipline
5 years industry experience in a lead technical role
Able to apply engineering techniques and analytical methods to make recommendations for improvements and provide information and assistance to end-users.
Work and lead effectively within teams where other team members may be located throughout the country and influencing others to action who are not direct reports.
Ability to support multiple projects concurrently based on priority and criticalitySelf-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results.
Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are also required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Preferred qualifications:
Proven track record supporting major teamcenter software in an enterprise environment with multiple geographically disperse instances.
Familiarized with different bom’s (cad-bom, ebom, mbom )
Experience using ptc creo or siemens nx 3d modeling design software.
Strong knowledge of the cable design process both in the logical (electrical) and physical (3d mechanical) design areas, at least 2 year of years working experience using electrical and mechanical cables design automation tools
Current dod secret clearance or higher
Salary range: $114,300 usd - $171,500 usd
