What do you do all day?
National math + science initiative seeks a highly organized individual willing to join our team as one of our program managers directly responsible for the management and strategic partnership with a cohort of districts and schools in our nmsi programThe program manager ensures the high-quality implementation and sustainment of programming in the districts we serve by becoming strategic partners of school and district leaders who organize and prepare their teachers and students towards advancement in ap programming and stem education.
To achieve our mission, the nmsi programmatic partnerships team grounds our goals, planning and day-to-day work in our team vision, which emphasizes the empowerment of districts and schools through coachingThrough the coaching of school and district leaders, we aim to promote sustainable and equitable stem cultures where all students have access to rigorous academics and opportunity.
What are the details?
The program manager will demonstrate a commitment to nmsi’s mission, effective leadership and influencing skills, and experience in partnership development and management; data analysis and exceptional communication, prioritization, and organizational skills are critical for success in this roleThe ability to speak compellingly about our mission and services and develop content knowledge in key organizational initiatives is also requiredWhile work will vary day to day, there are typical job responsibilities in this role:
External relationship management
Meet cultivation and revenue goals
Collaborate with districts to develop high-impact strategies related to program sustainability that engage families, communities, and local stakeholders
Support the cultivation and onboarding of new district and school partners
Identify and build relationships with community partners to enhance school support, understand the regional landscape and its impact on student achievement, and continue growth in the region
Represent nmsi as the leader in providing stem education and increased opportunity for student success for every school and every region we partner
Active program management of current partners
Build strong relationships with school-based and district leaders
Coach school-based and district leaders to utilize data to develop strong academic programs in their schools, choose best practices for instruction, hire and train teachers, and implement and facilitate nmsi programming through continued communication, goal-setting, and clear expectations
Collaborate with schools and districts to develop strategic plans, set goals, and integrate best practices that lead to sustainable programming and long-term continuation of nmsi strategies
Partner with nmsi regional teams and the greater programmatic partnerships team to help ensure the districts and schools we serve receive the best possible service and support
Collaborate across all nmsi teams to help achieve organizational goals
Other duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
Experience & education – bachelor’s degree (ba/bs) required; minimum of three years of experience working with school districts to coach teachers and leaders, develop strategy, provide support services, and implement programming.
Managing complexity – as nmsi transitions our programming to focus more on district engagement, your ability to navigate uncertainty and help transition the program manager role from current to future state.
Skilled communicator – you have excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, the ability to authentically listen to and connect with diverse constituencies and present effectively to groups of varying sizes.
Strategic – you’re a critical thinker who analyzes data effectively, sees ahead to future possibilities, translates them into breakthrough strategies, and makes good data-driven decisions.
Collaboration – you build trust, communicate openly and develop partnerships inside and outside the organization to maximize our shared knowledge and bring greater value to our mission.

What do we offer?
